Location was great: Walking distance of several restaurants, grocery stores, and the Arthur Ravenel bridge walking path, if you’re up for a longer walk. Short, easy drive to anywhere in downtown Charleston, as well as Isle of Palms or Sullivan’s Island. Room was clean and comfortable: The room was basic, a bed, a chair, a desk, a fridge, and a few tables. Adequate for solo or a couple. Only drawback was the drawers had some spots where the particle board expanded due to the humidity. Was a little off putting, but I just covered it with some trash bags. It was all still clean—the staff does an excellent job of that. One thing of note—the outlets didn’t have USB plugs. You will need outlet adapters to plug in electronics. Everyone was friendly: I didn’t interact with too many people there, but everyone I did was friendly. I would stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good place to stay on a budget.

My friend and I, both women, stayed there and did not experience any discomfort. There was parking available, and it was very close to the historic downtown. If you have strict cleanliness standards, I suggest bringing your own pillowcase and overlooking a few stains, but these are not major issues. Also, staff was really helpfull and kind. Overall, we were very satisfied and I would consider staying there again on my next visit.
